The new promotional plan in Germany and the Czech Republic of the Asiago Cheese Protection Consortium continues, with various meetings and activities planned in Italy and Europe.
On 4 September 2023, in fact, the Plateau welcomed some 20 of the most important professional traders and food journalists from the German and Czech markets, who were visiting to learn about the close relationship between livestock farming and artisanal processing in the production of Asiago PDO Cheese.
It was an opportunity to retrace the great tradition of Asiago PDO Cheese, including visits to the mountain huts and dairies, and ending with a lunch where the great cheese of the Altopiano met the wines of the Consorzio Tutela Vini Valpolicella.
The event is part of the EU-funded campaign ‘That’s Amore – European lifestyle: taste wonderfood’, which aims to promote European quality labels in Germany, Italy and the Czech Republic.
Next appointment, the Anuga 2023 Fair, the biennial appointment scheduled from 7 to 11 October in Cologne, where the Consorzio Tutela Formaggio Asiago brings its project of sustainable growth based on innovation and respect for the values and original elements of the Denomination.
