From 26 to 29 November 2023, the International Exhibition of Artisan Gelato at the Fiere Dolomiti in Longarone was an unmissable occasion for all operators in the sector, who were able to discuss the challenges and major changes their business is experiencing, all with a view to networking and meeting different realities, professionals and markets.
Not only: European PDO and PGI excellences also came together. At the Veneto Region stand, in fact, Asiago PDO cheese met with Riso Nano Vialone Veronese PGI and Radicchio di Treviso PGI in an unconventional ice cream, which won over all visitors, even those not used to enjoying their favourite savoury dish in a cup or with a spoon.
The credit for this unique ice cream goes to ice cream maker Simone de Nardi, who with this sweet and savoury speciality showed how cuisine by its very nature is destined to evolve, to break barriers and propose new flavours.
European excellences, again, were the absolute protagonists, born as they are to change shape, while remaining authentic, healthy and nutritious.
