The competition involved seven restaurants in the Verona area, including Agriturismo La Palazzina, Ristorante Pila Vecia, Trattoria Vecio Balilla, Pizzeria il Nuovo Canton da Robertino, Agriturismo San Gabriele, Osteria Le Scolette and the winner, Risotteria Melotti.

Like every year, the event took place in the Taste of Earth restaurant, inside the Palariso, with the public and the jury blindly tasting the ‘all’Isolana’ risottos. Paolo Forgia, President of the Commission, stressed the high quality of the competing dishes.

The award – dedicated to Giorgio Gioco, chef and poet, soul of the 12 Apostoli restaurant in Verona, who passed away in 2019 – reconfirms itself as an unmissable appointment for lovers of good food, capable of enhancing a great European excellence, the Nano Vialone Veronese PGI Rice.
