Boiled Rice Fair 2023: the event organised by the Consortium for the protection of Nano Vialone Veronese PGI Rice returns.

Boiled meat and Pearà: a symbolic combination of Veronese tradition that returns again this year in the event dedicated to it.

From 9 to 26 November, the unmissable appointment with the local gastronomic tradition will be staged at the Palariso di Isola della Scala.

Organised by the Consortium for the Protection of Nano Vialone Veronese PGI Rice, the Bollito Fair was born 20 years ago with the idea of enhancing local raw materials, among which meat also stands out: Verona, in fact, is among the most important areas in Italy for its production, together with wine and rice.

Several butchers will be present at the event and will cook their best cuts for visitors, ready to be seasoned with the famous Pearà: the tasty sauce made of bread, pepper and marrow. A poor dish but with a rich history, which has its roots in the Longobard era.

But the Bollito Fair is also much more: an opportunity to put the flavours of autumn on the table, through a short and sustainable supply chain.

Alongside bollito and pearà, in fact, there will also be risotto all’isolana, a local excellence that, just a few weeks after the conclusion of the Fiera del Riso 2023, returns to conquer the palates of all, in a moment of conviviality to be shared between events, competitions and music, with an entire area dedicated to the arts and entertainment. Because cuisine is like this: it knows how to unite taste and culture.
