Mojito with Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG


INGREDIENTS (1 person).

Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG: 3 cl.

White rum: 3 cl.

Unfiltered fresh lime juice: 3 cl.

Sugar syrup: 3 cl.


Mint: 8 leaves

White cane sugar

This particular cocktail was created by bartender Davide Vergine and was presented at Vinitaly 2012. Take a tumbler glass (the classic Old Fashioned glass typical of Americano and Negroni cocktails). Directly in the glass crush the ice with the mint leaves and add the lime juice.
Open a shaker. Pour in the rum, sugar syrup and start shaking for a few seconds.
Pour the liquid into the glass, add the Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG wine and shake briskly.
Finish the cocktail by pouring in the soda and adding brown sugar on top. As a garnish, insert the iconic mint sprig and a lime wedge on the rim of the glass.
