- 350 g 00 flour
- 160 g sugar
- 200 ml milk
- 2 eggs
- 125 ml PDO Veneto oil
- 1 sachet of baking powder
- Salt to taste
- Lemon peel
- Icing sugar to taste.

Beat the eggs in a bowl with the sugar until you get a frothy mixture. At this point, add the Veneto PDO oil and the milk. Keep stirring. Gradually, also add the sifted flour and grated lemon zest. Add the sachet of baking powder and mix until the mixture is firm. Prepare a cake pan. Grease it with the remaining oil (or butter, if you prefer). Bake the Veneto PDO oil cake in the oven, at 180° for about 30 to 40 minutes. You can do a toothpick test to see if the inside is dry. Take the cake out of the oven and let it cool. Don’t forget to sprinkle the surface with powdered sugar.
