Autumn on the table: Risotto all’Isolana at the 22nd Boiled Meat Fair
Date
Location
The season in which Veneto cuisine expresses itself at its best is autumn, the perfect time to showcase the territory’s quality ingredients and their use.
From 14 November to 1 December 2024, one of Veneto’s most important gastronomic events took place in Isola della Scala: the Boiled Meat Fair with Pearà and Flavours of Autumn.
Two weeks dedicated to local dishes, such as boiled meat, made with quality meat from a very short supply chain, and Pearà, the famous sauce that authentically enhances flavours.
Alongside these excellences, the Consorzio Tutela Riso Nano Vialone Veronese I.G.P could not be absent, which proposed another protagonist of the territory: risotto all’isolana.
Thanks to the support of the Consortium for the Protection of P.G.I. Rice, visitors were able to savour a unique dish, which with just a few quality ingredients encapsulates the authentic flavours
and genuine flavours of Veneto cuisine.
The fair was not only a journey through local flavours, but also an opportunity to discover and appreciate the link between gastronomy and territory.
The Consorzio Tutela Riso Nano Vialone Veronese joins the project ‘That’s Amore. European Lifestyle: Taste Wonderfood’ that celebrates the love for European quality products, for excellence of certain origin, for raw materials processed in a respectful and transparent way.
It is a project that will field many initiatives, workshops and events throughout Europe to make citizens and operators in the sector aware of the certified quality of IGP Riso Nano Vialone Veronese, Valpolicella DOC and DOCG Wines, Veneto PDO Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Asiago PDO Cheese.
